GENERAL INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

Montreal Technical College is authorized to accept foreign students (permit 749761)

All students must conform to the requirements of immigration. The language of instruction is English or French. Foreign applicants must attend courses on a full-time basis. All applicants will be advised as to the success of their application within a month.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

The application form properly completed.
Two passport size photographs.
Birth certificate.
Photocopies of transcripts, with diplomas showing the level of education. Do not send originals. These documents remain property of the college.
A non-refundable application fee of $100.00 (one hundred) in the form of certified cheque or money order, payable to Montreal Technical College. This fee covers the administration expenses for the opening of their file. No application will be accepted without the above-mentioned fees. Do not send cash by mail.
If documents are not in English or French, an official translation must be submitted with the documents, certified by the local Canadian consulate or embassy.
All students are required to obtain a private medical insurance.
Registration is for the duration of the program. Which is 16 (sixteen) months, 4 (four) semesters.

Application fee: Application fee 100.00 $
Registration fee: Registration fee 200.00 $
Tuition fee: Tuition fee 16,000.00 $
Total: Total 16,300.00 $
The program consists of four semesters. Foreign students must pay tuition fee in four equal installments at the beginning of each semester.
Fall semester: September, January, April, September.
Winter semester: January, April, September, January.
The cost of books and equipment is not included
Reimbursement will be in accordance with extract from an Act respecting private education (192, c.68 article70 to 750 available at the college).

Since Canada has two levels of government, Federal and provincial, all persons, other than Canadian Citizens and Landed Immigrants, who wish to pursue their studies in the province of Québec, must obtain a Québec Certificate of Acceptance (CAQ), and a Canadian Student Authorization before proceeding to Canada. The Québec Certificate of Acceptance must be obtained before the Canadian Immigration Services can issue a Student Authorization. As it may take several weeks to obtain the Student Authorization, the application process should be started immediately upon receipt of the letter of admission from the College.
